After getting your belly button piercing done you must avoid touching your wound and should not remove the piercing at all since the area around your belly may be bit sore as your body is starting to get used to of the metal in your skin so it’s better if you just leave it under your fabrics. After a few hours of piercing you may get some rock salt if available plus boiling water in a glass. Allow the water to get cooled a little bit then out it on your belly or stomach then lean back and relax. Keep the glass for about ten minutes and let the salt do its work and clean your wound by stem cleaning method.

After the cleaning is done by the steam method you must dry it in a proper manner as it is also very important when it comes to complete belly button piercing aftercare. For this you must avoid rubbing it by the help of a towel or dish clothing since there are so many germs that they contain. So for drying you may use a clean tissue and then blob it very gently. Do the same thing for about 3 to 4 months until the belly button piercing healing process has completed.

Taking shower regularly is an important thing to do when it comes to belly button piercing aftercare regime because streaming water can clean up your wound very easily but make sure you are not using any sort of bubble mixture in your bath, any type of bathing oil or soaps in your water as they may cause irritation in your fresh piercing area instead you must use clean water for bathing purposes and try to avoid shaving any part of your body while you are in shower. This is because our hair contains a lot of germs on them and if they got caught in your wound they may cause infections.
