Different Types of Ear Piercing


In today’s society it is very much acceptable to show different types of ear piercings since there are a large number of them that are available these days with majority of them being presented over the counter. For most of the people ear piercing can prove to be a pathway for the other piercing types. Ear piercings are today one of the most common forms of body alterations and due to this fact the professionals have also invented some new ways of ear piercings to give a  modern and stylish look to our body adjustments. Following are some most common types of ear piercing. 

Ear lobe piercing- these are one of the most communal form of ear piercing. An ear lobe is the bottom most tissue present in the ear. These sorts of ear piercing can heal in 4 to 6 week and they are also known as the least painful piercing among all the types. 

Helix piercings- they are considered as the second most common type of ear piercing. They are basically done on the upper cartilage of the ear and the instruments that are used for the purpose may include a stud, cuff style of piercing or may be a hoop etc. The healing time for this type of ear piercing is about 6 to 8 months and the timely removal of the jewellery can also lead to the premature closing of the hole. 

Conch piercings- there are usually two forms of conch ear piercings that are available these days. They include the inner and the outer conch.  The inner conch are the ones that are present at the center area of the ear cartilage and is done by the use of the hoop piercing whose size is completely according to the ear.  In outer conch piercings the hole is located farther out of the ear on the similar interior cartilage. These piercings take about 8 to 10 weeks to recover absolutely. 

Daith ear piercings- these kids of piercings are done on the innermost part of the ear taking place on the cartilage that is very close to the head by the ear canal.  Almost 6 to 8 weeks are required by these piercings to heal copiously and one can easily switch the jewellery during this whole time period of healing. 

Various types of jewellery can be use nowadays for ear piercings and you can go to stylish jewellery stores in order to get sophisticated barbells, era studs and captive bead rings etc.

  1. Ear piercing is a very traditional way of piercing. But these days there is a big demand of different types of piercing and also at different places in ear. I love the tragus piercing a lot.
